About Islands Restaurants

After surfing with friends in the warm tropical sun and clear ocean water, our founder craved a juicy burger, fresh fries, and an ice-cold drink at a locals' favorite gathering spot. Inspired by the friendly people and casual vibes, he brought that same craving-inspired menu and laid-back atmosphere to Southern California where he opened the first Islands Restaurant in 1982. 40 years later, Islands Restaurants are still true to the original vision, serving fine burgers and drinks with a locals-inspired spirit throughout California and Arizona.
